Exercise 1: PC with router
- Draw a topology and attach IP-addressing to the devices
- Write down that the clock is (Exact time)
- Connect a computer directly with a router
- Give them IP-addresses of your choice from the network 111.22.3.0 that has the subnetmask of 255.255.255.0
- Test with ping from both the router and the computer
- Write down that the clock is (Exact time)
- Calculate how long time it took to complete this exercise and document it in your table above
- Show a instructor your "Personal results table" before you move on to the next assignment
- Take down all of the cables used in this exericse, clean and reboot the router and remove the addressing you configured on the computer
Exercise 2: Router with Switch
- Draw a topology and attach IP-addressing to the devices
- Write down that the clock is (Exact time)
- Connect a router with a switch
- Give them IP-addresses of your choice from the network 123.12.1.0 that has the subnetmask of 255.255.255.0
- Test with ping from both the router and the switch
- Write down that the clock is (Exact time)
- Calculate how long time it took to complete this exercise and document it in your table above
- Take down all of the cables used in this exericse, clean and reboot on both the router and the switch
- Show a instructor your "Personal results table" before you move on to the next assignment
Exercise 3: PC med router
- Draw a topology and attach IP-addressing to the devices
- Write down that the clock is (Exact time)
- Connect a computer directly with a router
- Give them IP-addresses of your choice from the network 2001:6b0:1d:: that has the subnetmask of /64
- Test with ping from both the router and the computer

Exercise 5: Two computers
INCASE of not having access to two computers in the pod-station you are working in.
Go to B113, or talk with your labpartner so you have access to two computers by yourself
- Draw a topology and attach IP-addressing to the devices
- Write down that the clock is (Exact time)
- Connect two computers together
- Give them IP-addresses of your choice from the network 1.2.3.0 that has the subnetmask of 255.255.255.0
- Make sure that windows-firewall is disabled on both computers(This can interfere with ping/traceroute)
- Test with traceroute from both computers
- Write down that the clock is (Exact time)
- Calculate how long time it took to complete this exercise and document it in your table above
- Take down all of the cables used in this exericse and remove the addressing you configured on the computer
Exercise 6: 2 Computers with a router inbetween
- Draw a topology and attach IP-addressing to the devices
- Write down that the clock is (Exact time)
- Connect two computers together with a router inbetween
- Create two networks with the prefix 2001:6b0:1d:: that has the subnetmask of /64
- Give them IP-addresses of your choice from the two networks where the first network is located on one side of the router, while the second network is on the other side.
- Make sure that windows-firewall is disabled on both computers(This can interfere with ping/traceroute)
- Test with traceroute from both computers and the router
- Write down that the clock is (Exact time)
- Calculate how long time it took to complete this exercise and document it in your table above
